It's officially awards season, and I'm cautiously optimistic about what's to come. There's something so fun about watching a bunch of prestige movies, judging them, and waiting to see if The Academy or the Hollywood Foreign Press agrees with you. It's wild to look back at Oscars history and see how many times people won for reasons other than doing the best job. Don't get me wrong, I love Robert Downey Jr., but you can't tell me that he's going to win Best Supporting Actor because he gave the best performance this year. He's going to win because everybody likes him, and we're happy that he's employed after leaving the MCU! Even the most prestigious awards are perpetually subjective, which is why I think that the following memes should win an Emmy, an Oscar, a Tony, a Grammy, The Nobel Peace Prize, an Independent Spirit Award, and a Purple Heart just for the heck of it.
